Andrei Tarasavets is a defendant in the criminal case of mass riots in Brest, opened after the post-election protests of 2020.

He was charged under Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code (participation in the riots on August 10). Tarasavets was released before the trial.

On July 12, 2021, Andrei Tarasavets was sentenced to three years in a general-security penal colony by the Lieninski District Court of Brest. He was taken into custody in the courtroom.
