Aliaksei Ivanchyk was convicted of ‘violence against an employee of internal affairs bodies’ and sentenced to 2.5 years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony under Article 364 of the Criminal Code. Ivanchyk tried to escape a police officer who was going to arrest him because of his criticism of the election commission members who failed to provide conditions for secret voting and his anti-war statements. Ivanchyk’s actions did not cause any injuries to the officer.
