Aliaksei Ilinchyk is a singer and songwriter from Homieĺ. On August 18, 2022, pro-government Telegram channels reported him to have been arrested "due to his creative activity on the Internet".
Ilinchyk is accused under Part 2 of Article 367 ('Defamation against the president of Belarus'), Part 1 of Article 368 ('Contempt of the president of Belarus'), and Part 1 of Article 130 ('Inciting other social hatred or enmity') of the Criminal Code.
On March 28, 2023, the Homieĺ Regional Court sentenced the bard to two years and six months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony. Judge Aliaksei Khlyshchankou tried the case.
