Aliaksandr Mironau was detained on February 24, 2022, in Žodzina.
He is accused of posting messages that called to gather at 5 pm near a local store to protest against Russia's war with Ukraine. A so-called “repentant video” featuring the man was published. On camera, he repents his actions and says that in 2020 he called for unauthorized mass events too.
Aliaksandr was charged under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (Group actions grossly violating public order).
On May 5, 2022, the trial began, and on May 10 the verdict was pronounced: 2 years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony. The case was considered by Judge Ivan Hrynkevich, the state prosecutor - senior assistant prosecutor of Žodzina Dzmitry Yaroshevich.
