Aliaksandr Yarash is a resident of Žabinka convicted of insulting the president.
Alyaksandr Yarash, 50, was sentenced to two years of home confinement, after the Žabinka District Court convicted him on May 28, 2021.
According to the case file, on December 17, 2020, Yarash "posted an insulting message on one of the Telegram channels from his mobile phone." It contained a "clearly negative assessment of the identity of the head of state." According to the indictment, the negative comment "degraded the authority, honor and dignity of the President of the Republic of Belarus."
