Alena Malkevich was arrested as a defendant in a criminal case of ‘group actions grossly disrupting public order’ (Article 342 of the Criminal Code) for her participation in the 2020 protests.

On September 22, 2022, the Leninsky District Court of Minsk considered the case of the political prisoner. Judge Anastasiya Achalava sentenced Alena Malkevich to two years and six months of restricted freedom with a referral to an open-type penal colony.
