Aleh Siniakou is from Homieĺ region. He was arrested after he posted a comment about the death of Andrei Zeltser and a KGB officer. A criminal case was initiated against Aleh Siniakou under Article 130 of the Criminal Code ('Inciting social hatred or enmity'). He was placed in remand prison #3 in Homieĺ.

Eventually, he was charged under Article 369-1 of the Criminal Code ('Discrediting the Republic of Belarus').
