Alana Gebremariam

Alana Gebremariam is a member of the main composition of the Coordination Council, an activist of the Belarusian Students' Association and the Youth Bloc. Alana was detained on November 12 as part of a criminal case under Art. 342 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (organization or participation in group actions that gravely breach public order). The activist's apartment was searched. Alana was held in the KGB pre-trial prison.

On July 16, 2021, Gebremariam was sentenced to two years and six months in prison.

The political prisoner served her sentence in full and was released on November 30, 2022.
