Siarhei Bekman was sentenced by the Dziatlava District Court to two years in prison under Article 364 of the Criminal Code for using violence against a police officer or threatening them with violence, and under Article 369 of the Criminal Code for insulting a government official.
Siarhei Bekman's offensive comment against a police officer in "Odnoklassniki" social network became a reason for initiationg the criminal case.
According to human rights defenders, Siarhei was released from prison in the autumn of 2023.
